Another tag! (these are fun 😛 )
I wasn’t tagged directly, but Chelsea did this on her blog, and said anyone could take it for theirs.
So I did.
- Link back to the person who created the tag (that would be Savannah)
- Thank the person who tagged you (thank you, Chelsea)
- Share the tag graphic
- Tag eleven bloggers (not sure if I know that many…)
Vital Stats and Appearance
(Pen)Name: Jenna Terese
Nickname: I’ve actually never had a nickname.
Birthday: September 19th
Hair color/length: my hair is very very dark brown, but looks black because of the hair product I use. Length? Is that wet or dry? Because the difference is about four inches (it’s very curly. If you have curly hair, you know what I’m talking about). Dry, it’s about at my shoulders.
Eye color: brown
Braces/piercing/tattoos: none of these
Righty or lefty: Righty all the way. My left hand is useless except for piano.
Ethnicity: I could list everything, but that’d be very long. Pretty much, I’m about half-ish African, half-ish European, with a bit of Cherokee too.
First novel written: I have filled binders upon binders of short little stories. I haven’t actually completed a novel length book yet. But my VERY FIRST story was a little booklet of stapled together lined paper about a story of this brother and sister. They were bees. Yes, a family of bees. (I was eight)
First novel completed: Like I said, I’ve filled binders with short stories, but the longest thing I’ve finished was my novella, Danni’s Dilemma.
Award for writing: I haven’t entered anything…yet.
First publication: Nothing for this either, but I plan to try to submit to some places soon.
Conferences: REALM MAKERS! 😀 If you get the chance, go to this. (blog post on that here)
Query/pitch: None yet, but hopefully in the future
Novel (that you wrote): You are asking me to pick between my children? *sighs* Fine then…I’ll choose my futuristic dystopian, Underneath, because I just really love the main character.
Genre: I have many favorites, but the one that I’m really excited about right now is science-fiction/futuristic.
Author: I cannot choose one: Evan Angler, Chuck Back, Douglas Bond, Nadine Brandes.
Writing music: Audiomachine, Ludovico Einaudi, Helen Jane Long.
Time to write: Any time I feel inspired.
Writing snack/drink: Now that I think back, my most common writing snack was either a sandwich or brownies, like 98% of the time.
Movie: I don’t write while watching movies (shows, yes), but I really like the Captain America, Black Panther, and Avengers movies.
Writing memory: When author and family friend Robert Treskillard critiqued a chapter of my dystopian book during a mentor session at Realm Makers. I’m still not used to other people reading my writing, but it was a super cool experience. Also at Realm Makers, an author came up to me and said that I looked like the main character in her book. And sure enough, she pulled up a picture of her book cover, and the girl on the front did look quite a bit like me. In the writing world, I’m sure that’s one of the highest compliments. 😀
Childhood book: I loved this one scratch-and-sniff book we had (by now, though, the smell is gone), and one teensy little book of poems that I took literally everywhere when I was little (just ’cause it was tiny).
Reading: Radiant, by Richard M. Hannula
Writing: rewriting my novella, and outlining two other projects.
Listening to: Helen Jane Long lately, but I have been listening to a little 1930’s music for research. 🙂
Watching: Little House on the Prairie show with my family.
Learning: Patience….and also how to edit better. 🙂
Want to be published: YES, YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES!
Indie or traditional: I’d like do both actually, but probably more so traditional.
Wildest goal: see my published book on a shelf in a bookstore.
Phew, this was long. My respect to you who read all of it. (and those who just skipped to the end…well…).
Mariposa (er, ahem, Aberdeen)
I know more than this, but some of them have done the tag already or recently. (to those I tagged: feel free to opt out if you’ve done it already, or just don’t want to 🙂 ).
And if anyone else wants to do this, feel free. 😉
I have a request.
I’m new to blogging, as you can see. What I really want to know is what you all want from this blog, things that I can improve, or just general suggestions you may have. So I made this survey, and would be forever grateful to you if you’d be so kind as to take it. 🙂
Thank you for taking the survey! <3
What music do you like to listen while writing? What’s your favorite author? Did you find this tag fun?
