Bible Verses You Can Use as Themes

First, can I say the most used phrase of this year and every year prior?…

HOW IS IT OCTOBER ALREADY AND WHERE DID SEPTEMBER GO? (where did the whole year go, for that matter)

I just…can’t believe how fast this year has gone by.

But anyway, before I start rambling on about how time goes by so fast and that I’m finally ready for cooler weather, let’s get on to the post! ๐Ÿ™‚

As Christians, our beliefs are based on the Bible.

It’s our rock, our support, and our life guide. How could we go about life without it? We couldn’t.

As Christian writers, why should the Bible be any less to our craft? How can we incorporate God and the Bible on our writing process?

It takes a little digging and close attention to find verses that would be great as story inspiration, theme ideas, and more. Or maybe just good verses of encouragement if you feel discouraged writing your first draft.

Maybe I’ll do kind of a series on this, but for now, I’m bringing you some Bible verses you can use as themes for your books.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

-Ephesians 4:313-32 (NIV)

“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God.”

Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.'”

Mark 10:27 (NIV)

“Turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it.”

Psalm 34:14 (NIV)

“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.”

Psalm 55:22 (NIV)

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Psalm 56:3 (NIV)

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Colossians 3:2 (NIV)

“…and what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Micah 6:8 (NIV)

I hope that these verses inspired you! I’d like to delve more into how writers can use the Bible for their craft, but for now, that is all. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Write on,

Did you find these verses useful? Are there any other Bible verses you use as book themes? How do you use the Bible along with writing?
