Awesome Blogger Award

I was nominated by Covah at Dancing in the Rain for the Awesome Blogger Award! 😀 I’ve only seen this done once, so I’m super excited that I was tagged and I get to do it.

Let’s jump right in!

The rules…

1. Thank the person/blogger who nominated you. (Thank you, Covah!!)

2. Tag your post with #awesomebloggeraward

3. Answer all the questions given to you

4. Nominate at least 5 bloggers and inform them of their nomination

5. Give them 10 new questions to answer

The questions…

01. When and why did you start blogging?

I started blogging in early July of 2018. As a writer who’d like to get traditionally published one day, I knew I had to grow my platform and blogging seemed the best/most fun way to do that. I’ve been having so much fun with it, learning lots, and met so many awesome people! 🙂

02. What is your current mood? (using a color!)

….blue? I’ve been told I’m a pretty chill person.😎

03. If you could only read one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

As much as I love fiction, I’m picking the Bible for this one. 🙂 It’ll give me what I need for the rest of my life.

04. What will you do to help change the world?

Well, like this blog’s theme implies, I want to change the world with my writing. More specifically, I want to change people’s heart for God with my stories. I love how stories impact people’s lives, and I want to use that power for Him.

05. What is your favorite historical event?

Ooh, good question. Reading about the Revolutionary War always gets me all pumped up and patriotic. 🙂

But seriously, there are so many impactful events that’ve happened, it’s hard to choose just one…

06. What is your favorite school subject?

P.E.? 😛 (a.k.a. riding horses)

No really, probably history or science (it depends on the subject though). I’ve never been one for math. Like, at all.

07. Do you play an instrument? If so, which one/s?

Loooove this question! 😀 I’ve been playing piano for about ten years, and I’ve been trying to teach myself guitar and ukulele. Music is a big part of who I am, and I see myself playing some sort of instrument ’till the day I die. 🙂

08. Have you ever been or are vegan or vegetarian?

*gags* Um, no. Good for you if you’re brave enough to become one, but it’s definitely not for me. I’ve never been one of those loves-salads-and-healthy-stuff kind of girl. Give me meat ‘n’ potatoes (and chocolate…but not together). 😛

09. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Honestly, just a wife, mother, and homemaker. I know it seems so looked down on in this day and age, but that’s been my dream since I was pretty young. <3

But in the near future, I’m going to keep writing towards publishing, learn how to train horses, and possibly pursue equine raindrop therapy (basically essential oils on horses. It’s a thing. Look it up. 😉 ).

10. If you could tell your past self something, what would it be?

Don’t care so much about what other people think about you. Be confident in how God made you, with your wild curly hair and smattering of freckles. Find your identity in God instead of what you do or what others expect of you.

This was an amazing set of questions, Covah! 😀 I had a ton of fun answering these!

Hey, the world may look down on staying at home, but God definitely doesn’t!! I was actually just thinking of what I’d tell my younger self last night—God really does work everything out for good; don’t give up on Him, because He’ll never give up on you!! I’m going to be a medic. 😉

(Also, THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR WAS AMAZING! Well, I mean, it wasn’t, but it also was . . . XD)

Great job, Jenna! This was neat! That mood question was cool… do you have a mood ring that will show in colors what mood you’re in?

Thanks! 😀 I think I used to have a few pieces of mood jewelry, but I don’t anymore. Those are cool, aren’t they?

I really enjoyed reading your answers! I can’t play any kind of instrument, though I’ve always kinda wanted to learn to play the guitar (but there are too many other things I must do *sigh*). How long have you been playing the guitar? 🙂

And yay for homemakers! *cheers you on* That is a wonderful profession. 🤗

Guitar is a lot of fun. Too bad life gets in the way of things we want to learn. 😉 I’ve been playing off and on for the past year or two. I’m not that good, but I plan on dedicating a bit more time to it this summer.
      😄👍
