Do I Have That Book? {challenge}

I was tagged to do this by Abigail at Books, Life & Christ. She said she first saw it on Lindsey’s (from BFCG) youtube channel and decided to snatch it for her blog. You can check out the video here and read Abigail’s post here. 🙂

The rules…

1. Time yourself trying to find each prompt on your shelf
2. Try and beat the time of the person who challenged you.

3. Don’t forget to tag your challenger and the original creator.
4. Have fun!

The questions…

01. Do you have a book with tattered edges?

York by Laura Ruby. This is the one and only book I have with tattered edges. 🙁 I need more…

02. Do you have a book with 3+ people on the cover?

The only one I could find was Radiant by Richard M. Hannula. It’s a book about women martyrs in history.

03. Do you have a book based on another fictional story?

I know I’ve read some before, but I don’t own any myself.

04. Do you have a book with a title 10 letters long?

Bold Beauty by Dandi Daley MacKall; part of the Winnie the Horse Gentler series (great series, by the way, despite some cliches).

05. Do you have a book with a title that beings and ends with the same letter?

Sergeant Reckless by Robin Hutton. A true story about a little mare in the military. Loved this book.

06. Do you have a mass market paperback book?

Based off my meager knowledge of what ‘mass market paperback’ means, I guess I’d have to say Resistance by Jaye L. Knight.

07. Do you have a book written by an author using a pen name?

Resistance by Jaye L. Knight (can I use the same book twice?). At least, I think she uses a pen name. I’m not entirely sure…

08. Do you have a book with a character’s name on it?

Fawkes by Nadine Brandes. The last name of the main character, Thomas Fawkes.

Get this book. Read it. Love it.

09. Do you have a book with two maps on it

The Earth is Round by Margaret Epp. This was closet I could find; it only has one map on it though…

10. Do you have a book that was turned into a TV show?

Nope. 🙁

11. Do You have a book written by someone who is originally famous for something else? (Celebrity/Athlete/Politician/TV Personality…)

Nope for this one too. But I think I have read a few, I just don’t own them.

12. Do you have a book with a clock on the cover?

Uh…no.

13. Do you have a poetry book?

Passion for Horses by various authors. Nice little book with poems about horses. <3

14. Do you have a book with an award stamp on it?

A Gathering of Days by Joan W. Blos. It has the The John Newberry Medal stamp on it.

15. Do you have a book written by an author with the same initials as you?

I found quite a few with the same first initial, and others with the same last initial (and eve one with the same last name), but none that have all my initials. 🙁

16. Do you have a book of short stories?

Behold by Faith Potts. Lovely collection of short stories. Warmed my heart. 🙂

17. Do you have a book that is in between 500-510 pages?

Apparently I do not. Several books came close though. I often don’t buy super-duper thick books, I guess.

18. Do you have a book that was turned into a movie?

Miracles from Heaven by Christy Wilson Beam. This book is so powerful, and the movie even more so. Definitely check it out and watch it.

19. Do you have a graphic novel?

Nope.

20. Do you have a book written by 2 or more authors?

Project Canvas (edited by Caroline meek and Olivia Rogers). Inspiring writing advice from a ton of young writers around the world. Awesome book.

And that is all! This was a lot of fun and a bit different than the normal blog tags. 😀 I’m not going to tag anyone specifically, so if you’re reading this and you’d like to snag it for your blog, be my guest!

Write on,

This is one of my favorite tags!! I just might steal it for in a couple of months. 😉 Off the top of my head I’m pretty sure I have books for most of these…the initials one being the big exception, haha!!

I actually have a little friend with those exact initials! (I’ll let you know if she writes a book someday, 😉) Yay for unique names!! Wait…I’ve got it. Everyone with unique initials has to use their own book for that question!! (Jenna, say we can!!)

Wow, what a fun tag! I really enjoyed reading this. But finding an author with the same exact initials? What are the chances of that? XD

I’m glad you enjoyed it, Evelyn. 😊 Yeah, I know right?

I’ve been doing permutations all day……I calculated the exact chance of having the exact same initials not considering a greater likelihood for certain initials.

It is a 0.00823451910408432147562582345191 % chance of having EXACTLY the same initials in the EXACT same order.

      That’s……not very likely. 🙂

Greetings! I just found your blog and I’m wondering how in the world I haven’t already followed it! Anywho, I had to remedy that!

This is such a great post!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t quite know what Mass Market Paperbacks means. All I know is they’re not my favorite.

It’s near impossible to find an author with all of my same initials too. Like, nope! Not gonna happen! Maybe first and last, but not the middle.

And yes!! People should so read Fawkes! Such a great book. Can’t wait to see if Romanov is even better!!

Oh, and you’ve read Winnie the Horse Gentler! Loved those books as a kid.

Well, I’m glad you found me! 😉 Thanks so much for visiting! I know! That initial question was way too hard, lol! 😄 I can’t wait to read Romanov either! Yup, I’ve read the Winnie the Horse Gentler series twice.

        Totally.

AND TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: A “Mass-Market paperback is a book, usually a thriller or a popular hit, only a few inches long by a few inches wide and in small print. Basically, a portable book. I had to look it up, but yeah. 😉

I love bookish taaags. That’s awesome! I own very few books because mostly my family uses our library (we probably single handedly keep the library alive) (ok that’s not true) (our library is amazing) But I have read a whole lot.
Anyway this one was fun to read. 😀
