Rebellious Writing is celebrated a two-year birthday.
And in celebration of that, they’re holding a blog part through the month of August in the form of an original tag…The It’s So Classic tag. If you want to participate in this, learn more about it in their post here.
Here we go!

The questions…
01. What is one classic that hasn’t been made into a movie yet, but really needs to?
Actually, most or all of my favorite classics have been made into movies or television series…
02. What draws you to classics?
Classics are timeless. There’s just something magical about them that makes them enjoyable for generations and reading again and again.
03. What is an underrated classic?
Little House on the Prairie (is this a classic?). There aren’t enough people who’ve read this series.
04. What is one classic that you didn’t expect to love, but ended up loving anyway?
I had to read Pride & Prejudice for school as literature. It was my fist Jane Austen novel and I didn’t expect to like it. I mean, it’s romance. But, it turns out that I liked it more than I’d expected! I didn’t love it exactly, but it still surprised me.
05. What is your most favorite and least favorite classics?
Favorite: Sherlock Holmes. Least favorite: Pride & Prejudice (yes, it’s still my least favorite).
06. What is your favorite character from a classic? Or if that is too hard, one is your favorite classic character trope (e.g. strong and silent, quiet sidekick, etc.)
Sherlock Holmes is my favorite classic character. I do also love the strong and silent ones too.
07. What’s a popular classic that you felt wasn’t actually that great?
I’m sorry, I’m saying Pride & Prejudice again. Jane Austen fans, please don’t kill me…
08. Who is your favorite classic author?
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
09. In your opinion, what makes a classic a classic?
Pretty much my answers for #2 and #10.
10. Relating to newer books, what attributes does a book need to have in order to be worthy of the title “classic”?
Great, quality writing. Strong themes. Memorable characters.
I’m tagging…

I saw this tag on Rebellious Writings and wanted to do it but now I guess I “have” to since you tagged me…😉 I loved reading all your answers and I will let the fact the you don’t like P&P slide. 😂😉
Yeah, I guess you do “have” to do it now. 😛 <3
Lol, I KNEW someone was going to disagree with me about that book! 😀
I love this tag. 😀 Ooh, I’ve never actually read any Sherlock Holmes. I really need to sometime (especially sine we own like three copies…). I started to read P&P, but didn’t finish it because I got distracted with a bunch of other things, lol. I still like it though. 😉
YES READ SHERLOCK HOLMES! It’s awesome. 😀 Have you seen the P&P movie (or one of them)?
I’ve seen the long one that’s split up into a bunch of episodes (that one’s my fave) and the more recent one that’s regular movie length. I’ve also seen a really old one. It was weirrrrdd. 😛 What about you?
I’ve seen the one that was split into episodes too, but not the newest one. Is it good?
It’s pretty good, yeah. But the actress is one of my least favorite actresses. XD And Mr. Darcy isn’t as handsome. 😛 My opinions, though, so don’t listen to me.
Lol okay, I will look into it. 😉👍
Ooh, this is such an awesome tag! I love the dear old classics. ❤️
Great answers…although I can’t agree with you about P&P. 😉 I haven’t read Sherlock Holmes yet, but I really want to. Everybody tells me Doyle is such a good writer.
Great post! ❤️
Glad you like it😊
YUP I knew my opinion would be the unpopular one, lol😂👍 Yes Sherlock Holmes is so good! 🕵️♂️
I feel like…my answers would probably be switched as far as Sherlock Holmes and P&P…No wait, switch out P&P with Northanger Abbey or Emma. Those would probably be my favorite classics.
I enjoyed reading the post! I always kinda love talking about old books.
You don’t like Sherlock Holmes??? I think that’s the first time I’ve heard that from someone. 😃
Thanks for reading!
Oh, I like Sherlock! But it’s just not my favorite. I remember the writing being a bit more unemotional than I’m probably used to? So it was probably a stylistic thing.
Oh! Yeah, that is true about the writing. I guess it feels like Sherlock himself wrote it sometimes! 😉
LOVE your answers, Jenna! I haven’t read many classics, but I’ve been wanting to get into them more! XD
😁 Yes, I want to read more classics too. There are so many good ones out there.
I also just posted my answers. I love these tags. I get to know new bloggers through them. (I’m also a Jane Austen fan)!
Yes, tags are so much fun! 😀 Thanks for reading!
Awwwww….classics! 😍 (Aberdeen loves to devour those 😛🦖)
I loved reading all your answers! I haven’t read Sherlock Holmes, but I want to!
😀
Thanks for reading! Yes, you should definitely try Sherlock Holmes! 😉
I love this tag! So fun. I have had Sherlock on my TBR FOREVER, 😉
😀 Sherlock is awesome! You’ll have to let me know how you like it once you read it. 😉
