It’s mind-boggling to think that I have been blogging for two years.
It feels like only last summer I was nervously (but excitedly) publishing my very first post. So much has happened in this span of two years. I’ve learned so much about writing and blogging and this community has grown so much…
First of all, before we get into the awesome (and many!) questions you all submitted, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support you’ve given me. You all are so encouraging and I appreciate all of you. You guys are literally the best. <3
First, some stats…

|Q&A|
Q: Favorite thing about blogging and favorite part about interacting with readers?
A: My favorite thing about blogging is having a platform to share my thoughts about writing and books with people, and hopefully help, inspire, or encourage them in some way. My favorite part about interacting with readers is connecting on common interests and building a community around our passions.
Q: What’s your favorite part about writing?
A: Ooh, that’s tough. I really love being able to craft characters and develop them and just create a whole human being with a story. I love the endless possibilities of creating a story, and the opportunity of impacting the world with this art.
Q: What was your first year of blogging like (compared to the second)?
A: The first year was a lot of experimenting. A lot of figuring out what I wanted to post, when I wanted to post it, and learning how to connect with other writer bloggers. It was a fun season of discovery. The second year felt more concrete, more set, and more branded. I just kinda got more of a hang of things, I guess. 🙂
Q: How did you get interested in writing?
A: A long time ago…In a galaxy far, far away… A seven(ish)-year-old girl decided to try her own hand at writing a story, after discovering already that she loved storytelling. 😉 I don’t know why, but I’ve been a kind of person who was like “I like that…how can I do it myself?”
Q: What’s your funniest horse story?
A: 😀 I like this one! I might have a few (none of them were funny to me until later XD)… Once when I was at the stable, it was a busy time so there were a lot of horses and not a lot of extra space. I just finished grooming and tacking up the horse I was going to ride and was trying to turn him around in a cramped space. Well, I wasn’t keeping an eye on my feet or his because his hoof landed right on the top of my right foot. And he put his weight on it. And I had a hard time getting him to shift his weight over because 1) there wasn’t a lot of space for him to move over swiftly and 2) my foot was kinda stuck and in pain. So yeah, I finally got him to step over and got some relief. Boy, did that hurt (I still rode though 😛 ). Telling the story to friends later, it was funny to think of myself struggling to get a huge horse off my foot.
Q: What are some of your favorite posts that you have made?
A: See above. 😉 And also all of my Project Inspire posts.
Q: What made you start your blog?
A: I wanted a way to grow a platform, with publishing in the future in mind. To grow a following and community.
Q: What is one of your least favorite books? Rant reviews welcome!
A: Unfortunately, I don’t have a rant (this time), but there was a historical fiction series I read several years ago that I didn’t really enjoy. Which is sad, because I loved historical fiction. The plot just kinda went nowhere and it didn’t keep me engaged.
Q: What book do you have the most copies of?
A: I think it’s A Time to Die by Nadine Brandes. I bought the second and third books of this series at Realm Makers 2018 and ended up buying the first one again because I wanted all of them signed and I didn’t have my copy with me. So now I have two. 🙂
Q: What made you decide to start writing?
A: I just wanted to try my hand at making my own stories. 🙂
Q: Your favorite books of this year so far?
A: Ooh, it’s harder to narrow it down…The Magician’s Nephew by C. S. Lewis, Emberhawk by Jamie Foley, Wayfarer by K. M. Weiland, Cry of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse, The Story Hunter by Lindsay A. Franklin, and The Memory Thief by Laura Mansy.
Q: What new writing lesson you have learnt this year?
A: Enjoy the slower times, the times where I don’t get as much done, the times where my plans are exploded. I’ve also learned a lot about self-editing.
Q: What is your most inspiring book you have read this year?
A: I’m going to say Wayfarer just because it was a really unique superhero book that inspired me to be creative and think out-of-the-box with my own superhero stories. 🙂
Q: What has Pinterest inspired you with recently?
A: Memes. XD I’ve also been looking at a lot of inspiration for character names.
Q: Has 2020 generally gone to plan? If it hasn’t, is that okay?
A: …2020 has not gone according to plan…like, at all, I think. Though I did get more writing done during quarantine than I would have otherwise. So even though events were cancelled and things were postponed, it’s okay. 🙂 It was a season of growing still.
Q: What is one new story idea that you are thinking on at present?
A: To be honest, I haven’t really thought on other story ideas besides my current projects. I’ve had a couple new ideas over the past few months, but I haven’t taken a look at them all yet to figure out which one I want to tackle after Embers and Skyracer.
Q: What are your life plans?
A: Wow…uh…I mean, I have goals for the next year or two, but I haven’t mapped out how I want my whole life to go. We shall see. 🙂
Q: Which singer does your voice sound like to you?
A: 😀 I’ve literally never thought about this so I don’t really know. I think I have a deeper singing voice so….???
Q: If one of your characters had to be your best friend for the rest of your life, who would it be?
A: Scarlett was the first to come to mind because she’s sooo similar to me. Both introverts, both quiet, both readers, both musicians.
Q: Opinion on ice cream trucks?
A: I know they’re not the healthiest, but I have a lot of fond childhood memories of ice cream trucks. They never really came down our street that often, so when they did it was a huge event.
Q: Do you believe in time travel?
A: As a sci-fi writer, I am obliged to see yes (at least, someday maybe?). 😛
Q: How do you think future history books will explain memes?
A: Well…here’s Google’s definition: a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users. *shrugs*
Q: If you could master any art form what would you pick?
A: Maybe painting (specifically with watercolors). I love the look of that medium, but I never really got the hang of it.
Q: Do you name inanimate objects that belong to you?
A: I don’t, but I’m thinking about naming my plants…
Q:Would you eat wasp crackers?
A: *looks up what in the world wasp crackers are*
*is disgusted*
Sorry, you couldn’t pay me money to eat anything with an insect on it. *shudders*
Phew! So many great questions! I had a TON of fun answering these. Q&A’s open to randomness are always super fun. 😀

Ugh, the struggle of getting a horse off your foot. Know that all too well. I’ve had my former horse step on my bare toes. That hurt so bad.
WASP CRACKERS?! Um, ew. No thanks.
Naming plants is fun. I give all mine rapper names, which always proves to be hilarious.
