What can I say? I’m a dreamer.
Do you have those dreams, those goals, that you want to accomplish some day? Big ones, that you’ve been thinking about for years? I think we all do, and today I want to share some of mine with you.
Also, I’m testing out a new Pinterest graphic (above). What do you think?
Here are some things I dream of accomplishing at some point in my writing/author journey…
01. See one of my books in a physical bookstore
This is probably one of my earliest dreams, one that began back when I was still writing stories with rough doodles on lined paper and stapling them together. How thrilling it would be to see one of my books in a physical store…maybe pick up, read the blurb, sign it, put it in the front of the store. 😛
02. Get a book in a library
As a library fan myself, it would be so cool to get one a published book in my local library.
03. Get a fan letter
I dream of my stories impacting someone. And if a person writes to me telling my one of my books did just that, I’d probably frame that thing and hang it on my wall (after crying).
04. Have an in-person book signing
Getting books signed by your favorite author is one of the coolest things on the planet, and book signing events always looks so fun.
05. Speak at a conference?
Yes, there’s a question mark there. And I wrote it very tentatively. Because I have a terrible fear of public speaking so I don’t even know why I put this one on here???
06. Coach writers/teach storytelling
I have so much fun sharing what I’ve learning about writing and creative lifestyle here on this blog, and I think it’d be so cool to go bigger with this to coach writers in the craft of storytelling.
07. Publish a trilogy
Trilogies are my favorite length for a series. That sweet spot between a standalone and a long string of books. So, naturally, I’d like to publish a trilogy. I wanted my superhero WIP Ignite to be the first in a trilogy, but the story just didn’t really reach past a second book.
To me seven items isn’t that long. Oh but trust me, this list will grow…and keep growing…and growing…
Before you leave, lemme tell you about the exciting announcement. 🙂 Q&A’s/interviews with expert creatives are coming back to Project Inspire! We have two wonderful ladies visiting the blog soon, so be sure to hope over there to learn more about them, the topics they’re covering, and to submit your questions.

I love your list. My list looks much the same. But I kind of also want to write one book under a pen name and publish an article in a magazine. I mean. I’ve already published one but I was a kid so it doesn’t really count. I also want to maybe be an author and agent, like do both jobs. Idk. XD
Ooh, those are awesome dreams! 😀
I love this list!!! I kinda have the exact same stuff myself… 😉
Yay! 😀
Hey, Katja! <3

Hi Jenna! I just tagged you for the Disney Character Tag over at my blog! https://ekseaver.wordpress.com/2021/01/22/disney-character-blog-tag/
I just saw it! 😀 Thanks for the fun tag!
My goal today was to get to your newest post (I’ve been so busy lol).
I love this bucket list, Jenna! My dreams are very similar to these. For me, while speaking and having a book signing, I want both of these done at churches, but ALSO including singing and ministering on the piano before speaking. I want a chance for the Holy Spirit to touch the congregation before getting into speaking. <3
That’s so awesome, Abby! I know God’s going to accomplish great things with your talents <3
Aww, thank you, cutie!
Love your list! ^_^ I have a lot of the same things on mine. ;D
Thanks! 🙂 Cool!
Wonderful goals! I’ve hit a couple of those and have most of the others on my “someday list” too.
That’s awesome! 😀
Great bucket list! I’d love to do #2 and #7 as well! Fyi, I’m terrified of public speaking too, so I hear ya! Communication class was my lowest grade in college. Yeah…
😀 Glad I’m not the only one terrified of it, lol. Thanks for reading! <3
I am also sooo terrified of public speaking…even in front of friends and family
AHH YES same! XD
#1 is 100% on my list!! I just started typing out my stories and it is SUCH a great feeling!!
That’s so awesome, Tasha!
