Hi, my name is Jenna.

I’m teen girl with a love for story and a creative heart. You can often find me going barefoot whenever appropriate (and maybe sometimes when it’s not), playing a bit of music, or sticking my nose in a book (too often maybe, if you ask my family). I believe that laughter is the best medicine, books and campfires are two of the best smells, forest walks will cure anything, and a horse’s nicker the sweetest sound. I’m also a writer (if you haven’t guessed already), creator of worlds and weaver of words, an observer (I would say ‘people watcher’, but that sounds creepy to non-writers), dreamer, creative genius (some would beg to differ), and artist. I want to change the world with my writing, one story at a time, to be able to challenge the norms of this world to change hearts for God. Because He gave me this desire for storytelling, and I’m going to use it for His glory.

About writing

I want to show the world that stories can be well-written, while teaching lessons, building character, and bring glory to God at the same time.

I began writing when I was about 8, crafting stories about families of bees, cats, and wolves. Ever since then I’ve been filling binder after binder of small stories. In the summer of 2017, a thought occurred to me; “Hmm, how do youΒ actuallyΒ write a book?” I searched this thought on my laptop, and you can imagine the loads of results I got. I was a little overwhelmed!

But I was determined.

Determined to make my writing better, to begin my journey to better my craft. I wasn’t just going to write stories for fun, I was going to write books to change lives.

And so began my roller-coaster ride to learning more about writing. I’ve learned so much since then, it’s hard to comprehend.

“If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.” -Martin Luther

And that’s what I want to do. Change the world. ChangeΒ people.Β Change hearts, for Him. Because He’s the reason for it all.

Write on,

I ride english, and I used to jump a little too. Right now I’m on my stable’s equestrian team, which has been super duper fun and I’m learning tons.
*sighs* I, sadly, do not have a horse…YET! πŸ˜‰ Do you have one?

Your blog sounds amazing! I love writing and I enjoyed checking out your Book page. It’s great to know that I’m not the only one with book ideas that are still at the 0 word point πŸ˜‰ How long have you been riding? You prefer English over Western?

Aw, thank you! πŸ˜€ Oh yes, I have A TON of ideas that are still at the 0 word count. πŸ˜‰ I’ve been riding for a little over five years. Out of all of that, I’ve only had a few lessons in Western, so yes I prefer English. πŸ™‚ Do you ride?

Hi Jenna! (lovely name by the way!)

It’s so awesome to see another homeschooled, Christian, blogger! I’m so glad that I came across this today!

That’s so cool that you like horseback riding. Earlier this year, I got the chance to be around some horses for a day and now it’s my dream to get on one!

What is your favorite thing about riding horses?

And, what kind of homeschooling do you do? Online? Traditional?

      Aw, thank you! πŸ˜€
You should totally get on a horse! Most amazing experience ever. πŸ™‚ It’s hard to pick a favorite thing about riding…I just love experiencing the different personalities of all the horses I’ve ridden, and just being in awe of their strength, beauty, and gentleness. πŸ™‚
I was homeschooled traditional. All books, no online stuff. πŸ™‚ I’ve heard of a lot of people doing it online, but I prefer having the books anyway. What about you?
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! That means a lot to me. πŸ™‚

Hmm, I’m not sure why that’s not working; I just had someone subscribe recently. I’ll look around in my settings and stuff to make sure everything’s in order though.
It’s kind funny that you say that you like my layout, because I’m planning on changing it soon. πŸ˜‰ Thank you though!

πŸ™‚ I tried again and it worked. I think it must have been my internet. It’s been acting up lately. *sigh* It’s not fun to have a messed up internet as a writer and a blogger…

Yay! πŸ˜€ Yes, I know what you mean. It can be really frustrating when I’m writing a blog post and then the internet stops working for whatever reason, lol.
