Never have I ever…

…started a novel that I didn’t finish…

Um…eh…yeah.

Not many, but there are some hiding over there.

…written a story completely by hand…

Heavens, no. My hand cramps would go crazy. I have written small parts of novels before if I wasn’t at home and didn’t have my laptop handy.

…changed tenses midway through a story…

The first time I tried using present tense, I kept accidentally switching to past tense throughout most of the first half of the story. But I don’t think I’ve switched in the middle and not realized it until the end though…

BLOG PINTEREST GRAPHICS (55)

…not researched anything before starting a story…

Um…yeah.

I haven’t done that in years though! I’ve learned my lesson.

…changed my protagonist’s names halfway through the draft…

I’ve never done this. Usually a name is the first thing I figure out about a character, so that’s seared in my memory by the time I start writing the story.

…written a story in a month or less…

Well, I won NaNoWriMo…but my story wasn’t finished.

So I guess no.

…fallen asleep while writing…

I don’t write well late at night, so I haven’t really had the proper chance. But no, I’ve never done this.

…corrected someone’s grammar IRL/online…

OH BOY YESSS!! The longer I’m a writer the more I’m silently correcting grammar. It doesn’t seem to bother me as much when I see it written (I’m just desensitized because of my own writing) but it REALLY bothers me when I hear it.

…yelled in all caps at myself in the middle of a novel…

Not actually typing the words, but yelling at myself in my head.

…used “I’m writing” as an excuse…

Maybe.

Okay so maybe I said I was writing as an excuse when I really was just procrastination but I needed to write so…???

…killed a character that was based off someone I know in real life…

Ha.

Haha. No. I have not yet.

…used pop culture references in a story…

Considering I mostly write futuristic, our pop culture references wouldn’t make much sense in a futuristic world. So yeah…no.

…written between the hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m…

I am NOT productive during those hours…and I’m also asleep. I have never done this. Let’s hope my life does not get to a point where I do.

…drank an entire pot of coffee while writing…

No no no. Even though I really like coffee, I try to limit how much I drink. I won’t have more than a cup/mug in a day, and I don’t drink it every day.

…written down dreams to use in potential novels…

Yes! At least two. One I have actually already used. A LONG time ago. It was for a horse racing novel…

…published an unedited story on the internet/blog/Wattpad…

*shudders* No, I have not (also, never used Wattpad). If somebody’s seeing an unedited piece of writing from me, then it’s probably because I sent it to a select few people for critique.

…procrastinated homework because I wanted to write…

I don’t think I’ve done this. I just remember trying to get my work done super fast to get to writing sooner. I don’t usually write well when I know I had some others things I was supposed to do first.

…typed so long that my wrists hurt…

Yeeesss…Not really joint pain, but kind of a little bruising/redness on my wrists from resting them on my laptop while tapping.

…spilled a drink on my laptop while writing…

Oh my word, just reading this gave me a heart attack. I am suuuper careful about keeping drinks a good distance from my electronics. So no, I haven’t done this, thank goodness.

…forgotten to save my work/draft…

*cries* Yes. *sniffs* Yes, I have.

…finished a novel…

Yes…one (two maybe?). I’ve written mostly short stories and novellas in the past.

…laughed like an evil villain while writing a scene…

In my head, yes! 😀

…cried while writing a scene…

Yes, I think this has happened. Considering I HATE crying, it was probably just my eyes tearing up a little.

…created maps of my fictional worlds…

I’ve done this only one time. And that one time increased my respect and admiration for those of you who can create those elaborate and epic maps.

…researched something shady for a novel…

*raises hands* I think we all have, right? I mean, we have to know the effect of a particularly placed gunshot wound or a stab or…something. (I’m beginning to see how crazy we are).

I’m tagging..

I definitely think we’ve all researched something we’d rather the police (and our parents) not know about 😛
I have spilt drinks on my laptop before, but never a whole drink, so my laptop is still going 🙂 thankfully.

This was so fun to read!! I tried to write in present tense and kept switching to past, haha. It was hard! And I’m totally ‘that’ person that always corrects people’s grammar. They always roll their eyes when I correct them, but it just bothers me. XD

Ack, I do not want to THINK about something spilling on my laptop! It has been through enough already, and I need it to survive.
What a fun post! I used to write down dreams all the time that I thought would be good story ideas! And most of them were…really dumb. Usually they sounded REALLY good when I was still half asleep, but when I looked at it later, I realized that there wasn’t much there. There have been a few that might have something to them though.
I would have researched all sorts of shady things…if I actually researched for my stories…which I don’t. I am trying to work on that, but mostly I just make everything up.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, it’s funny how much better dreams and ideas seem when we’re half-asleep. XD
      Thanks for reading!

This is such a fun tag! I hate playing this game in a group though. ;D Unfortunately I have spilled something on my mom’s computer while writing. But I in my early teens and was not nearly as careful as I am now. Needless to say, I never have drinks/liquid around my computer now.
I think we’ve all researched shady stuff for books. ;D Thankfully my brother is a nurse so I can ask him a lot of questions. ;D

Your answers are perfect. 😆❤️ Several of your answers are similar to how I’d answer actually. 😂😜 Awww, thanks for the tag! ❤️ I don’t know whether I’ll be able to do this one or not since my blogging schedule is infrequent lately, and I plan on taking a hiatus in the spring before I set up my new blogging format. 😉 But thanks for thinking of me! 🤗❤️

Oh my goodness. Spilling coffee on a laptop/computer keyboard is too horrible to imagine.

I have never fallen asleep while writing, thankfully, but… I think I have based a short story off of a dream I’ve had. I think. I don’t remember for sure.

This was such a fun tag to read! 🙂
