The Creative Tag

Yay, another tag I’ve never done before!

I love new tags! Elizabeth from An Attic Full of Paper tagged me for this one, so many thanks to her for thinking of me.

Let’s dive right into the fun!

The questions…

01.What is your favorite way to create?

Writing stories (obviously). That is my main form of art. I also really enjoy music. Sometimes I’ll dabble into other forms, like drawing.

02. What is your favorite quote about creativity?

I’m sure you’ve heard me mention this Martin Luther quote: “If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.” It’s not necessarily about creativity, but it inspires me to create.

03. How do you overcome “creative block”?

I kind of have to gauge whether or not I just need to push myself and keep creating or take a break. Usually the case is that I need to take a break, so I’ll take one. During that break I will probably enjoy my other hobbies and just generally refill my creative cup.

04. What inspires you to create?

Life in general, honestly. I get inspiration from some of the smallest, weirdest, most unexpected things. I think a big thing that inspires me though is really moving, meaningful stories. Also, seeing people create freely and beautifully really inspires me too. 🙂

I tag…

Kassie

Penny

Ash

Have fun! 😀

I’m glad you tried this tag! I also really like the Martin Luther quote about creativity and completely agree that inspiration can come in the strangest places 🙂

    Eeee, thanks for tagging me!
I’m not technically stuck at home, but I’m not really going anywhere either… *contemplates the fact I read and listened to the radio all day* …which should be driving me up the wall but thankfully hasn’t…yet…

    I love this tag!

My favorite way to create…I’ve been pursuing music seriously for a long time. When Story Embers first started, I had been experimenting with poetry for a while. Over the past few years, I’ve worked hard on poetry also. I love both. 🙂

I’m completely quarantined at home with my family. It sort of feels like I’m back in middle school when the only extra-curricular activity I had outside the home was choir (and church, of course). I’m taking a lot of time to create and edit and practice my music.

That’s so cool that you’re pursuing music seriously! What kind of music? Do you sing? Poetry is awesome too; I’ve always wished I was good at that. 🙂

That’s awesome that you’re using this time to be creative. You go girl!

hey, Jenna! I had some time before school today, so I scrolled through your older posts and I found this one tag to do! 🙂

01.What is your favorite way to create? —> Writing, playing piano and singing, listening to worship on my iPod. I also have been writing songs a little on the piano and singing those when God gives them to me. 🙂

    02. What is your favorite quote about creativity? —> Um… I don’t know any quotes on creativity, oddly enough! Don’t lose it on me lol.

    03. How do you overcome “creative block”? —> I take a break from writing and usually just go to the piano or watch television lol. Sometimes, I realize that a lot of the time that “creative block” for me is God showing me, “I haven’t anointed you to write today. I don’t want you to write today. If you try now without My help, it’ll all be in your own effort and none of Mine. Don’t get discouraged. Just try again later.” It might seem odd, but I write when I get the green light from the Holy Spirit to, and He empowers me to. I rarely (if not at all) write on my own.

    04. What inspires you to create? —> The Grace of God, His love for me. Or if it will bless or touch someone I love.

    This was fun! 🙂
