Disney Character Blog Tag

photo of castle during daytime

Disney is awesome, just sayin’.

What could be more fun than comparing my favorite Disney characters to characters from my WIPs? Many thanks to E. K. Seaver for tagging me for the Disney Character Blog Tag!

The rules

01. Link back to the tag’s creator. Check out her post here.

02. Link back to the person who tagged you. See above. πŸ˜‰

03. Pick 10-12 of your favorite Disney Characters.

04. Chose which of your cast of characters (whether from your current or a former WIP) reminds you of those princesses and tell us why.

05. Tag 4-7 other people.

06. (Optional) Use the graphic I created for the tag.

I’ll be mentioning characters from my current WIPs; you can read about them here. Another note: It was really hard to pick my fave Disney characters. Just know that there are more than these…

My Favorite Disney Characters

  • Woody from Toy Story. The Toy Story movies are my favorite childhood movies. | It’s hard to pick what of characters is most like him…I guess I’ll go with Rez from Ignite just because they’re both leader types. Rez is a little more mature and level-headed though. πŸ˜‰
  • Buzz from Toy Story. Of course you can’t have Woody without Buzz. | I’d say Buzz is kind of Woody’s grounder and voice of reason sometimes, so I’ll go with Ivon from Ignite. He doesn’t say much but he’s always there as a supporter.
  • Mushu from Mulan. Love his spunk, spice, and comic relief.| Boy, I’m not sure what to say for this one… Maybe Seth from Ignite. Not really because they’re so much alike but because I think they’d be best friends. πŸ™‚
  • Winnie the Pooh. Another favorite childhood classic for me. If you haven’t seen the Christopher Robin movie then wHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING WITH YOUR LIFE.| His sweet innocence reminded me of Astrid from Embers (sequel to Ignite). She’s kind of naive sometimes, but sweet and simply caring and compassionate. Loves simple beauties of life and being with those who mean the most to her.
  • Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. He’s spunky and adorable, and I love the dynamic between him and Lilo (especially in Stitch Has A Glitch).|This one’s tough… For some reason Madelyn came to mind (brief appearance in Ignite, but a bigger character in Embers). Maybe just because she’s around Lilo’s age and I think she’d have a lot of fun getting into trouble with Stitch.
  • Mary Poppins…from Mary Poppins. Classic. I love that movie and Julie Andrews never disappoints with that singing voice. | Who can compare to Mary Poppins? None of my characters really come close, but I guess I’ll pick Ruka from my growing plot bunny (title for now: Written in the Stars). She’s motherly and gentle and thoughtful.
  • Rapunzel + Flynn from Tangled. (Yes, I combined them into one) Probably my favorite duo in all of the Disney Princess movies because their voices are awesome. | Ma boi Seth is probably most like Flynn; adventurous, daring, gets into trouble. As for Rapunzel, I might say Nadia (also from Ignite) because she’s also really sweet and kind and enjoys the beauty of the world.
  • Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Who wouldn’t like a character who loves to read and hAS A LIBRARY LIKE THAT???| I’m kind of ashamed that I don’t have a majorly booknerdy character. No one comes to mind for this one. *hangs head in shame*
  • Rafiki from Lion King. Hilarious and wise. | I don’t know, Ares from Ignite came to mind for Rafiki, but they’re really very different. Ares is definitely more on the quiet, subdued side, but he also has a maturity and wiseness beyond his years.
  • Baymax from Big Hero 6. If you haven’t watch this, stop reading this and do so. And if you don’t cry while watching said movie, then are you even human?|I’m gonna pick Nadia again, just because she is so caring and loves to take care of others.
  • Ferb from Phineas & Ferb. He has, like, maybe five lines through the whole show. But he’s awesome. This is also one of my favorite childhood shows.| OH Ares fits Ferb really well! They’re both quiet thinkers and always keeps a cool head under pressure.
  • “Kick” Buttowski from Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who watched this show. ‘Twas a sad day when it stopped running. | M’kay yeah definitely Renna from Skyracer. She’s somewhat of a daredevil herself, with a chip on her shoulder and something to prove to the world.

Hey, Jenna! I have the time to comment (yay!)
I love this post. I don’t read many fiction books (gasp!), but I could do it off my WIP characters; which is 2 novels worth of characters (if you want me to, I can comment my tag, it’ll just take some time cause I am so busy). I actually instead read non-fiction books from ministers (Kenneth Hagin for instance). Fiction reading just isn’t for me. Yet, I write fiction… lol. I have seen all the Disney movies you described and even Phineas and Ferb (and yes , Big Hero 6 is awesome), except for the final one you listed, I don’t know what that is. πŸ˜‰

Okay Jenna, here we go. This was tough to do… but rewarding! And sorry I was so late, I have been so busy that I totally forgot about this! And I only had time to do 3, it might not be as exciting but… what can ya do? lol
I don’t want to give the title of the WIP or plot (sorry I can’t), but I will at least give the names! Sorry I can’t tell ya, my story is so unique, I don’t want it stolen by anyone. πŸ˜‰ <3

1.) Mulan from "Mulan." — Her spunk and willingness to stand up for those she loves and do what's right no matter what the cost. Also her adventurous personality. That reminds me of a secondary characterof my WIP; Riley. And she is a military girl all the way that they call her Sarge. πŸ™‚
2.) Woody from "Toy Story". I didn't steal this one, I promise. Woody's seriousness about getting things done and keeping everyone safe; but also his ability to still have fun reminds me of the second main character in my WIP, Wesley. Plus, Wesley is a country boy, so that matches too.
3.) Kayla Morgan from Cloud9. I hope someone has seen this movie. Kayla's determination even when she realizes things are harder than they seem to reach her goal reminds me specifically of the first main character in my WIP; Sarai. Plus her saying in Cloud9, 'Nothing's impossible,' is so powerful. And in my WIP, nothing is impossible for Sarai, with God!

Oooh what a fun idea. πŸ˜€ I have several of the same favorite characters; except I prefer Bert over Mary Poppins. He’s so much fun and such a sweet guy. Also we’re both ENFPs, so… kindred spirit. XD

Oh, this was so fun to read! Also I noticed characters I haven’t read about before so it was really neat to read about them! And of course it was great to read again about the characters I have read before!
I’m not sure if I should steal this tag or not. I would really love to, but at the same time I made myself promise to do only tags that people tagged me for…. this is so hard!
