I’ve recently discovered how much I like podcasts.
Unlike videos, I can listen to these as I’m doing things around the house. Like cleaning my room or doing dishes, etc.
We all follow tons of writing craft blogs, but podcasts are a great too to learn. Maybe my list of podcasts will give you something new to listen to on the go.
I’ve come across some pretty good podcasts lately, which I’d like to share with you today…
01. Story Embers
I’ve been following the Story Embers site since it’s beginning, and I really appreciate their quality, practical, and Christian content. I was totally on board when they started their podcast! Their podcast has been just as good as the content on their website.
02. The Christian Publishing Show {w/ Thomas Umstaddt Jr.}
I LOVE this podcast! It’s easy to find any podcast on just writing and publishing, but a good Christian one is a great find. This podcast has covered topics that I’ve had questions about, and it’s overall a really good choice for the Christian writer. And there’s something here for indies and traditional writers.
03. Helping Writers Become Authors
Podcast by author K. M. Weiland. I used to just read her posts on her blog, but I don’t have as much time to sit and read blog posts, so the podcast has become much more convenient. Her content is always really solid and easy to understand.
04. Go Publish Yourself {by IngramSpark}
A podcast run by the self-publishing company IngramSpark. I haven’t been listening to this for a long time, but so far it’s really good. It’s nice to have specifically indie publishing podcasts to listen to.
05. Novel Marketing
Another show done by Thomas Umstaddt Jr., with James L. I think novel marketing is super fun and interesting to learn about, so I’ve really been liking this podcast. I think it’s especially helpful for those who want to go indie, since all the marketing things are done yourself.
06. The Self-Publishing Show
By Mark Dawson. I’ve seen this one highly recommended by other indies. So far, it’s been living up to my expectations. Really great content.
07. FightWrite
By Carla Hoch. I haven’t had this show in my library for very long, and I think I’ve only listened to one episode, but this podcast has to be a writer’s dream, am I right? It’s a podcasts on how to write better fight scenes in our fiction, and also gives some tips on other weapons as well.
08. Bestseller {by Reedsy}
The writing podcast done by the amazing company Reedsy. Reedsy is basically one of the best resources for a writer looking to publish. I definitely recommend getting on their email list and checking out their archive of free courses and their marketplace where you can find publishing professionals.
And that’s all, folks! This whole list gives me plenty to listen to and I’ve learned so much through podcasts. Tell me in the comments what your favorite writing podcast is!
